Common Amana Error Codes and their Descriptions
• Fridge Air Filter Indicator Light:
Replace the air filter to adhere to company standards. Once replaced, reset the air filter by holding the air filter button for 3 seconds. Once the icons turn off, the system will reset and the air filter icon will turn blue. Once the light is blue, the “replace filter” text should disappear from the control panel.
• Fridge Door Alarm Light
Check to see if the door is shutting properly and if there is nothing that’s stopping the door from properly closing.
• Fridge H2O Light
Replace your water filter to adhere to the company and your fridge standards. Once it’s replaced, press and hold the light and ice type button on your control panel for 3 seconds. Once that is done the status light will turn off and the system will reset.
• Fridge PO Error Code
If the PO (or power outage) indicator is on, that means the power supply to the fridge is off and the freezer temperature has risen to above -8°C. Consider checking the breaker of your home or the outlet in which the fridge is plugged in and ensure the appliance is getting the proper power to continue to operate.
• F0-0: No Errors
The appliance is compliant with factory standards and does not have any known errors diagnosed on the machine.
• F1-1: The Oven Isn’t Cooking At The Right Temperature
It’s necessary to check the temperature sensor and the wiring. If the sensor is fine, the control board needs to be replaced.
• F1-3: High Temperatures Detected During Cleaning
Be sure to look at the temperature sensor as well as the wiring of the appliance. If the sensor seems to be alright, the next course of action is to replace your main board entirely.
• F1-5: Input For The Cancel Key IS Not Registering
The control board for the unit must be replaced per company standards.
• F1-8: A Key Has Shortened
The control board for the unit must be replaced per company standards.
• F1-A: Grounding Of The Circuit Board
The control board for the unit must be replaced per company standards.
• F1-C: Calibration Of Control Is Off
The control board for the unit must be replaced per company standards.
• F1-E/F1-F: Data Corruption In The Control Board
The control board for the unit must be replaced per company standards.
• F1-H: Circuit Failure For The Door Switch Output
If there’s a circuit failure when it comes to the door’s switch input, consider inspecting the wiring on the switch for the door. If there are any loose wires, it can cause an error and may not function properly.
• F1-J: Circuit Failure For The Latch Switch Output
Inspect the wiring on the switch for the latch for any stripping or loose wires.
• F3-1: There’s A Circuit Failure With The Oven Temperature Sensor
Inspect the connectors along with the sensor for the oven temperature to see if everything is plugged in properly and connected according to factory standards
• F9-1/F9-2: The Auto Latch Won’t Lock/Unlock
Inspect the switch for the latch for any faulty wiring. If everything seems normal, consider checking the motor for any anomalies.
