Dealing With A Broken Freezer?
Few appliances are underappreciated as much as the freezer. Consider how much you probably rely on your freezer for essentials. When your freezer isn’t working as it should, don’t panic. A broken freezer can be caused by a number of different issues. At Max Appliance Repair, we figure out exactly what’s wrong, and we take steps to restore your freezer to its former functionality.
From strange sounds, to a freezer that doesn’t freeze at all, or freezes too much, we can address any issues you might be experiencing. Let’s get your freezer back to perfect working order.
Freezer Won’t Freeze
This is naturally one of the most common freezer problems. The issue can be as simple as having too much stuff in your freezer. This can decrease its efficiency.
At the same time, the culprit could be something like the condenser coils, your evaporator fan motor, or even the start relay. If any of these components are damaged, your freezer won’t work as it should.
Odd Sounds/Clicking Noises
You’re likely to notice a strange sound emanating from the freezer quickly. While the freezer might be working just fine in the present, this sound could be an underlying cause of something more serious. The start relay might be broken, or otherwise damaged. It is also possible that coolant is being properly passed through the coils and condenser.
A Constant Running Freezer
By no means should your freezer be running all the time. If this is happening, you should try to deal with the situation as quickly as possible. A freezer that won’t stop running can burn out or break down completely. Your temp control thermostat might be malfunctioning. There could also be something amiss with either the evaporator fan motor or the condenser fan motor. Any of these components with your freezer should be inspected and repaired as soon as possible.
A broken freezer is not the end of the world. It doesn’t even mean you have to repair the refrigerator. However, if your freezer is leaking water, or if the defrost drain has become frozen, act quickly. Contact us to make an appointment to get your freezer repaired.
